Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Job Description
- We are looking to hire an experienced assistant accountant to support the accountant and wider finance team in an aluminum extrusion factory.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Work hand in hand with auditor to assist with auditing processes and analysis.
- Keep financial records up-to-date.
- Maintain financial records for clients’ businesses by reviewing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Reviewing, analyzing and preparing financial data.
- Assisting in planning and budget preparation.
- Coordinating with management to prepare annual financial statements.
- Preparing and maintaining accounting files, reports, and data used for financial reporting.
- Entering financial information into company software programs.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of HND in Accounting or other related fields.
- At least 3 years experience as an assistant accountant or other relevant fields.
- Professional certifications such as ICAN, CB, CPA or other relevant certifications.
- Excellent book keeping skills.
- Ability to think critically.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Ability to work with confidential information.
- In-depth knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary
₦50,000 – ₦60,000 / month.
Job Title: Factory Safety Officer
Location: Awka, Anambra
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description
- We are looking to hire an experienced safety officer to maintain a safe, industrial working environment in an aluminum extrusion factory.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Stay updated on a federal, state, and local health, safety and industrial regulations.
- Create factory safety protocols to identify, prevent, and manage work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
- Educate staff and factory workers on the health and safety programs.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies for all factory personnel.
- Enforce the use of personal protective equipment.
- Must have knowledge of machine safety guidelines.
- Ensure installations, operations and maintenance of machines follow all safety protocols.
- Ensure accurate health, industrial hygiene & safety and trainings records are kept.
- Train employees on use of fire extinguisher and administering first aid measures.
- Responsible for factory hygiene, waste management.
- Ensure safe handling, proper labeling and storage of hazardous substances.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND in related fields.
- Completion of NYSC program (compulsory).
- At least 5 years experience as safety officer.
- Proficient with PowerPoint to create slides and presentations.
- In depth knowledge of legislation and procedures (e.g., OSHA/EPA/ ISO).
- Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Diligent with great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
- Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH) or OSHA (compulsory)
- ISPON membership or membership of other professional health and safety body will be an added advantage.
Salary
₦80,000 – ₦100,000 / month.
