To provide a Service of Care to clients to enable them to lead as independent a lifestyle as possible. This Care Service will involve providing personal care and household management that is personalised for each client in the form of a Care Plan. Care duties will therefore include assisting the client with the following activities and in so doing will always observe and respect the clients’ dignity, privacy and independence as far as practical:
Job Responsibilities:
3.1 Personal Care:
Support/Assist with:
- Dressing and undressing / preparing the client for the day or trips out.
- Washing / bathing / showering / shaving / grooming / oral care.
- Hair care (washing / brushing).
- Nail care (cleaning nails only, no cutting).
- Personal hygiene.
- Continence management.
- Monitor skin integrity
- Mobilising in and out of bed.
- The use of Aids to Daily Living / Rehabilitation Aids, as required.
- Rehabilitation programmes, as prescribed by Healthcare professionals.
- Day / evening / night sitting services, as required.
3.2 Healthcare – assisting the client to take prescribed medication.
3.3 Dietary Care:
- Preparation of snacks and meals according to the client’s likes / dislikes and detail within the care plan.
- Assisting with feeding, as required while promoting dignity and respect.
3.4 Domestic / Household Services:
- General cleaning duties, to include cleaning / dusting / vacuuming / polishing.
- Bed-making.
- Clearing refuse and rubbish.
- Laundering / Ironing.
- Shopping, and the preparation of shopping lists and assistance with budgeting.
- Light gardening tasks (subject to previous agreement at the Care Plan stage).
To conform to all Policies and Procedures laid down by the Organisation in respect of carrying out these Care Duties and in other administrative aspects of the business, as relevant.
1. To participate as directed by the Registered Care Manager / HR manager in Induction Training and regular In-service Training programmes.
2. Participate and ensure mandatory training is always up to date.
3. Ensure all training is adhered to, to ensure the safety of our clients, yourself and colleagues.
4. Read and follow all care plans, risk assessments, and report any changes to your client promptly to the Registered Manager / HR Team.
5. To maintain accurate, concise, and timely records of client care, using the Mobizio App.
6. To participate in Staff, Team and Quality Management Review Meetings as directed by the Registered Care Manager / Compliance Team.
7. To participate in supervisions and appraisals as required to support you within your role.
8. To report back to the Registered Care Manager / Compliance Team on any aspect of client care which he / she feels warrants investigation or urgent action.
9. To participate in reviews of clients’ Care Plans as required.“`Duties:“`

– Prepare meals and assist with meal planning

– Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing and dressing
Job Experience
- Previous experience in housekeeping or caregiving is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and household organization
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanour
