We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: General Manager, Hotel
Location: Calabar, Cross River
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- The manager sees him or herself as the image maker and conduct him or herself as a true ambassador.
- Ensure retainership are secured from companies. See that the hotel obtains all relevant licenses.
- Develop menu and grow the kitchen to handle outdoor catering.
- Coordinate all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume. this includes advertising sales promotion, community relations, special sales projects.
- Procure new and repeat business and for the hotel by maintaining contact with airlines, travel agencies, commercial houses, private clubs and professional association within the community and neighbouring markets.
- Conducts interviews for hiring of staff to ensure staffing productivity is up-to-date with current market trends and the competition, negotiate suppliers agreements to the best value for money.
Qualifications & Job Attributes
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of second class lower)
- Professional qualification (an added advantage)
- Minimum of 10 years experience in hospitality management.
- Experience knowledge of Calabar and its environs
