We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Home Carer / Non Live-in Maid
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
General Cleaning:
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all rooms.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
Kitchen Duties:
- Clean countertops, stove tops, and sinks.
- Wash dishes or load/unload the dishwasher.
- Organize kitchen items and ensure proper sanitation of food preparation areas.
Bathroom Care:
- Scrub and disinfect toilets, showers, bathtubs, and sinks.
- Replenish toiletries such as toilet paper and soap.
- Ensure that bathrooms are tidy and odor-free.
Bedroom Maintenance:
- Change bed linens and make beds.
- Organize personal items and declutter rooms as needed.
- Dust and clean nightstands, dressers, and wardrobes.
Laundry Services:
- Wash, dry, fold, and iron clothes.
- Organize laundry areas and keep them tidy.
Specialized Cleaning Tasks:
- Perform deep cleaning tasks (e.g., carpets, upholstery, and hard-to-reach areas).
Client Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their cleaning preferences and needs.
- Follow special requests or specific instructions as required by the client and inform homeowners of any maintenance issues or repairs needed.
Health & Safety Protocols:
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines during cleaning tasks.
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly.
Time Management:
- Manage time efficiently to complete cleaning tasks within the scheduled timeframe.
- Prioritize tasks based on client needs and requirements.
Qualifications
- 2 – 5 years experience in housekeeping or cleaning is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Female cleaners are most preferred.
