Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Personal Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals seven days a week for our household. In addition to culinary skills, the ideal candidate should be capable of driving duties and completing household chores. The Personal Chef will work closely with us, to maintain a high standard of food quality, creativity, and nutrition while accommodating specific dietary preferences. Accommodation and a fully-equipped kitchen will be provided and the chef will have the freedom to experiment with dishes while adhering to our dietary restrictions.
Responsibilities:
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious and balanced vegetarian meals each day, seven days a week, following dietary restrictions (egg-free and alcohol-free).
- Cuisine Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in Punjabi cuisine and have experience working with a tandoor oven. Also expected to be proficient in a wide range of global cuisines to keep meals exciting and diverse.
- Baking and Mocktail-Making: Possess skills in baking and Mocktail-making to enhance the dining experience.
- Menu Planning: Create a weekly menu that aligns with our dietary preferences.
- Food Quality: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and taste, ensuring that every meal is a culinary delight.
- Nutrition and Health: Ensure that all meals are nutritious and well-balanced, considering our dietary restrictions and personal preferences.
- Grocery Shopping: Responsible for grocery shopping and maintaining a well-stocked kitchen with fresh ingredients.
- Kitchen Management: Manage and maintain a clean and organised kitchen space, including all kitchen equipment and utensils. Any additional equipment needed will be provided upon request.
- Experimentation: Have the creative freedom to experiment with dishes and flavours and receive feedback following this to assist in professional development.
- Driving: Regularly assist with driving responsibilities as needed.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with us to understand dietary preferences of any guests and changes in menu requirements.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience working as a Chef within both hotels and restaurants.
- Proficiency in a wide range of cuisines, baking, and mocktail-making.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary restrictions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Able to drive (must have valid driving licence)
- Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Good spoken and written English
