We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Supermarkets Cashier
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Greet customers and provide a positive shopping experience.
- Answer customer questions and provide assistance with product location or information.
- Resolve minor customer issues and complaints related to product or price discrepancies.
Transaction Processing:
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately.
- Scan items and ensure accurate pricing.
- Accept cash, credit, debit, and other forms of payment.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change.
Maintaining a Clean and Efficient Checkout Area:
- Keep the checkout area tidy and organized.
- Bag customer groceries efficiently.
- Assist with restocking shelves and arranging displays as needed.
Other Duties:
- Participate in training and development programs.
- Assist with other store duties as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 1-5 years experience.
Age between: 25 – 30 years - Strong communication and customer service skills:The ability to interact positively with customers and handle inquiries efficiently.
- Basic math skills:Ability to accurately calculate amounts and make change.
- Attention to detail:Accuracy in processing transactions and maintaining a clean checkout area.
- Knowledge of store products and locations:Ability to assist customers with finding items and providing product information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment:The ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- High school Bsc/B.A or equivalent
- Previous experience in retail or customer service:May be preferred, but not always required.
Salary
₦180,000 / month.
