Job Description
- We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver high-quality meals that align with our reputation for excellence.
- The ideal candidate should have a passion for food, creativity in menu design, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Planning and Preparation:
- Design and update menus that showcase a blend of local and international cuisines.
- Prepare and present meals that meet high culinary standards.
Kitchen Management:
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen staff activities.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely and consistent manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety standards.
Inventory and Budget Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to reduce wastage.
- Create and manage budgets for kitchen operations.
- Source quality ingredients while maintaining cost-efficiency.
Training and Development:
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Encourage a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Guest Satisfaction:
- Interact with guests to receive feedback and incorporate improvements.
- Ensure dishes are customized to meet guest preferences and dietary needs.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional cooking experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in both local Nigerian and international cuisines.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety standards, and hygiene regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver exceptional results.
- Creativity and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
