A new opportunity has arisen at DSL Group for a Accounts Assistant at our Nottingham office. Throughout your time with DSL, you will be reporting to our Finance Director and assisting the Accounts Payable/Receivable and other finance tasks including recording supplier invoices, payment runs, month-end reconciliations, general accounting and assisting with other tasks across the finance team.

The role will entail different areas of the finance team to really broaden your skill set and understanding of finance. You will also be expected to complete project work to enhance your personal learning whilst benefiting the way the finance team operates. The apprenticeship will be run in conjunction with a recognised financial training provider who will support both your technical and personal development needs.
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
- Good and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of accuracy and good attention to detail
- Structured approach to work and very well organised
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Good understanding of the MS Office (Word and PowerPoint)
- Confident in use of Excel
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- A proactive team player who is confident about working with others but also independently and can promptly escalate any issue and work remotely where required
- Logical and analytical approach coupled with intelligence, passion and a drive to learn
- Ability to formulate own opinions by thinking analytically about problems
