We are looking to hire Health care assistants in Care home to join our growing team Better Choice Healthcare, Wakefield branch. As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or healthcare professional on one of our busy adult wards or outpatient areas. Responsibilities:
- Assisting healthcare professionals in providing patient care and support
- Taking vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assisting with patient mobility and transfers
- Assisting with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing and dressing
- Monitoring and documenting patient information and reporting any changes to the healthcare team
- Assisting with medical procedures under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Compassionate and empathetic nature to provide emotional support to patients
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting/moving patients
